Sketching, Storyboarding & Pre-Production
Animation starts with great drawing. This module builds your fundamental drawing and visual storytelling skills, beginning with basic shapes, figure drawing, anatomy, facial expressions, and dynamic poses. You’ll also learn gesture drawing, action lines, and silhouette design for clear communication. The second part of the module focuses on storyboardin,g translating your story idea into sequential visuals. You’ll plan shots, camera angles, transitions, and timing for animated scenes.
2D Animation Using Adobe Animate & Toon Boom
Dive into 2D animation using powerful software tools like Adobe Animate and Toon Boom Harmony, widely used in studios worldwide. You’ll learn techniques such as frame-by-frame animation, pose-to-pose animation, onion-skinning, and timeline control. The module covers character rigging, lip-syncing, facial animation, walk cycles, and background interaction. By the end, students will be able to create complete animated scenes with professionally timed motion and expressive characters ready for broadcast or web publishing.
Digital Art & Background Design
A great animation needs immersive and well-composed backgrounds. This module teaches you how to create environmental art, landscapes, props, and stylized backgrounds. You’ll use Adobe Photoshop and a digital drawing tablet to master color theory, perspective, shading, atmospheric depth, and matte painting. Students will create art for different styles like cartoon, flat design, realism, and fantasy. You’ll also learn how to integrate backgrounds seamlessly into both 2D and 3D animation projects.
3D Animation & Modeling
This module introduces you to the world of 3D animation and asset creation using Autodesk Maya. Rigging & Character Animation
